Jon Mayer is a writer, filmmaker, and arts educator.
Jon came to DTE fresh out of New York University’s Dramatic Writing Department, where he graduated with a concentration in playwriting. He’s a founding member of The Glass Company, an arts and activism organization dedicated to questions of gentrification and the changing landscape of the East Village and Lower East Side.
He has held numerous positions at Dance Theatre Etcetera, from teaching artist to marketing manager.
Jon resides happily in South Slope, and can be found at any performance of his plays in the back row, with his hands over his face, looking at the floor.
